Feathers and Scales Pet Services has been taking care of my pet- sitting needs for a couple of years now, and I have recommended them many times to neighbors and friends.

Having a reliable pet-sitter who cares about my animals is a high priority for me and takes the worry out of going on vacation. I have peace of mind knowing that my cats have someone to visit them daily and look after them. In addition to taking care of the cats, we can count on having the mail and newspaper picked up, plants watered, and having the trash put out as needed while we are away. We don't have any exotic birds as pets but we do feed wild birds, and keeping the bird feeder filled is a daily need!

Jennifer always leaves a 'report card' that lets us know how things went while we were away, and we have had no problems in the 2 years we have been relying on Feathers and Scales Pet Services.

I can tell you for sure that if I'd been part of
this group 3 or 4 years ago, I could have saved myself many hundreds of dollars. Birds and their behaviors can be really confusing, especially when you're just starting out with them.

I've been following the advice given so far and have found it very insightful. To me, it's worth it to have these gals on tap. They seem very committed to being on this board. So I feel like we're getting good service, which is entirely in addition to the usual networking you get from a group like this.

As options go for getting knowledgeable input, this board is a great resource.

Also, I've joined and remain a member of several free on-line bird boards/groups. You can get a lot of help that way, but you can also get A LOT of misinformation. The trouble is sorting out the bad from the good advice.

So to me, paying to have access to the input of an actual expert is well worth it! I'd urge others to consider what its worth to have such good consistent access to people who are so experienced.

These are two women providing actual professional input to the questions, and so far that input has come very quickly and has been very through.

I've been impressed with the quality of advice given by Michelle and Jennifer. Even the quality and comprehensive nature of the questions they ask tells you a lot, all by itself. So, for what it's worth, I do think this service is very worthwhile, and I think it's an excellent value.
